Coordinator Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access - RMIT

Employment status:  Full-time, 12 Months Fixed Term position. Salary Level HEW 7 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements. Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

As the Coordinator, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA), you will support the achievement of the aspirations and actions in the RMIT IDEA Framework by designing and delivering several projects and initiatives, engaging collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

You will be focusing on improving access and outcomes for student cohorts that are prioritised in government policy and the RMIT IDEA Framework and will collaborate with other contributors on the delivery across the breadth of RMIT equity, diversity, inclusion and access initiatives.

You will work with a small and enthusiastic team and with internal stakeholders and contributors in the Students group, People team, the Athena SWAN project team, RMIT portfolios, Colleges and Schools, and with external partners and organisations as needed.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of community diversity, with the proven capacity to draw upon related skills and expertise from your professional experience to develop and deliver equity and inclusion programs that are targeted and responsive.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and deliver a range of innovative and effective programs.
  • Proven experience identifying, developing and maintaining relationships for defined outcomes with a wide range of partners and collaborators, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of equity, diversity, inclusion and reconciliation.
  • Effective planning, organisational, and project management skills, including coordinating staff for the effective delivery of events and programs.
  • Experience with program evaluation, data analysis, and implementing continuous improvement practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
