Mental Health Week ran from 9-16 October 2021 and during that week ADCET was delighted to have Brandon Taylor, Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy Manager for TAFE present a short 30-minute webinar on Mental health - What does it look like?
Your mental wellbeing is the unique way that you handle your emotions, respond to stress and also your general outlook on life. Having a healthy sense of mental wellbeing has many benefits. In this session, the six different areas (building blocks) of mental wellbeing and the practical strategies and activities to incorporate these into your day-to-day life were looked at.
Brandon Taylor - Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy Manager for TAFE Queensland.
Brandon Taylor is the Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy Manager for TAFE Queensland. Prior to this, Brandon was the Student Support Manager serving the Brisbane region. He has worked in the VET sector as a teacher, Disability Officer and manager for 18 years. He has taught literacy, numeracy and life skills programs with disadvantaged youth, discrete learning programs for adults with disability in the workplace and additional support programs for students struggling to maintain their VET studies. He has managed multidisciplinary student support teams including counselling, disability, Indigenous and International Student Welfare.
