Accommodations 2.0: Reflecting on the future of post-secondary accommodations in a UDL landscape
This article discusses the growing implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in higher education, particularly in Global North countries, over the past decade. The pandemic has further accelerated this trend by highlighting the role of faculty as designers and the potential for UDL in online and hybrid learning environments. The article adds that the development of UDL practices could alleviate the burden on accessibility services and reduce dependence on traditional accommodations. (The AHEAD Journal (Ireland).
