Manager, Inclusion and Disability - The University of Sydney

Employment status: Contract/Temp; $140k - $148k p.a. + 17% Super

The University of Sydney is seeking a Manager, Inclusion and Disability to oversee the effective delivery of disability support services, ensuring that students with disabilities can fully engage in their educational experience. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping policies, leading assessments, and collaborating with academic staff to create tailored supports for students that align with legislative requirements and the University's commitments

Key responsibilities

  • manage support services for students with disabilities, ensuring their full participation in university life
  • collaborate with academic staff to develop and implement academic plans for students
  • lead the development and review of disability support policies in line with legal requirements
  • provide expert advice and assessments for students requiring significant support
  • work closely with cross-functional teams to drive collaborative initiatives and achieve objectives
  • manage and develop staff within the work area, ensuring efficient service delivery.

About you

Do you have:

  • extensive experience in providing disability services to a diverse range of individuals
  • previous working knowledge within a tertiary or large complex organisation
  • strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • proficiency in assistive technology and database management
  • proven ability to lead and develop staff effectively
  • demonstrated experience in negotiating, influencing, and collaborating across teams
  • ability to communicate effectively and provide tailored support solutions.
