Advisor (Accessibility & Inclusion) - University Of Melbourne
Employment status: Full-time; Fixed-term for 12 months, UOM 8 $119,742 – $129,607p.a. plus 17% super
In this role you will support initiatives aligned with the University's Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. A key focus of the role will be supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the University's Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the University community, including consultation, co-design, and co-ordination around the current DIAP, as well as supporting the next one.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist advice to support communications related to accessibility and inclusion.
- Leading the DIAP, under the Associate Director’s guidance.
- Facilitating staff and student lived experience disability advisory groups.
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a dedicated professional with the expertise to navigate complex and sensitive issues. Subject matter expertise in accessibility and inclusion is essential. We are also looking for strong communication, engagement, and problem-solving skills.
You will also have:
- Subject matter expertise in disability, accessibility and inclusion.
- Demonstrated project management skills in a D&I context in a large and complex organisation.
- A track record of ensuring compliance with relevant legislation in a D&I context, including reporting processes.
