ACSES: Students with disability in Australian higher education: An overview
This report by the Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES) provides an in-depth analysis of the participation and outcomes of domestic undergraduate students with disability in Australian higher education. The report highlights trends over the past decade, focusing on key metrics such as access, participation, success, retention, and completion rates. It also addresses the impact of changes in data collection methods during 2020-21, which affected the accuracy of reported figures for students with disabilities.
The report underscores the importance of accurate data collection and analysis to inform policy and practice aimed at improving educational equity. It identifies significant disparities in educational outcomes for students with disabilities compared to their peers and suggests targeted interventions to support this group. The findings are intended to guide higher education institutions and policymakers in developing strategies to enhance the inclusion and success of students with disabilities.
