The Resource Kit: ‘Disability Discrimination Act: Guidelines on Equal Access to Digital Goods and Services’
Intopia, in April 2025 launched a comprehensive Resource Kit to support organisations in complying with the updated Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Guidelines on Equal Access to Digital Goods and Services. These guidelines, developed by the Australian Human Rights Commission in partnership with Intopia, aim to improve access to digital goods and services for everyone.
This toolkit provides practical resources, including infographics and actionable advice, to help businesses and service providers create inclusive digital experiences for people with disabilities. The guidelines emphasize the importance of universal accessibility, ensuring compliance with the DDA while fostering innovation and equitable access in an increasingly digital world.
Developed with input from disability advocates and technical experts, the Resource Kit clarifies obligations under the DDA and offers strategies to implement reasonable adjustments. By embedding accessibility into digital design, organisations can enhance usability, avoid discrimination, and contribute to a more inclusive society. The kit is now available for download, empowering providers to remove barriers and uphold the rights of individuals with disabilities.
